| Each cell contains 2 mtrs of DNA. An adult human
has about 1013 cells. If we isolate the DNA from all cells and
join it end to end it will take you to the moon and back 8000

delve deep into Clinical Genetics which will include
genetic counseling, clinical rotations, case discussions
etc. In brief, the students would go through a broad range
of genetic sub-specialties such as basic cell biology,
cytogenetics, developmental genetics, immunogenetics,
biochemical genetics, cancer genetics, pharmacogenetics,
molecular genetics, genetic engineering, clinical
genetics, prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling. The
management of patients involving multiple modalities will
also be included in the program.
Overall the program will provide a strong foundation in
all areas of medical genetics with opportunities for
hands-on laboratory and clinical experience. The program
